I’ve been playing guitar for over three decades, focusing primarily on classic and alternative rock. My main instruments is a Rick Turner Model 1 and a Feder Stratocaster, though I also build guitar effects pedals as a side hobby and play a Fender Jazz bass and slide guitar.
Over the years I’ve played in several bands around Pittsburgh: 780 West, Shadows of Eve, Felicia Lynn Band, Table for Five, and The Band Anna. Each brought different musical challenges and opportunities to explore different styles and sounds.
I’ve also started recording solo material under my own label Pennies and Prizes, I’ve so far recorded a cover song but will be moving toward songwriting.
If you’re curious about the technical side, check out my recent pedalboard evolution blog post which chronicles two decades of chasing tone through analog circuits, germanium transistors and tubes.

Effects Building
When I’m not playing, I’m often hunched over a soldering iron building analog effects pedals. I’ve built everything from germanium fuzz faces to BBD-based flangers, usually working from General Guitar Gadgets kits or classic schematics. There’s something satisfying about understanding every component in your signal chain, especially when you’ve wound the inductors yourself.
